Dr. Gullikson has been on six dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic. High in the beautiful mountains are small farming villages where the people are very poor, living day-to-day. Children with permanent (adult) teeth are the primary focus of the trips, and cleanings, oral hygiene instruction, extractions, fillings and sealants are performed. The experiences of simple living for a week with these gracious people has been life changing, and he hopes to be able to make more trips in the future.
